Trail description
Steep trail in Kluane National Park and Reserve from the Cottonwood trailhead on the Kathleen Lake access road, first along an old mining road beside Kathleen Lake and then climbing to the glacial cirque that forms the seat of the King's Throne, with alpine flowers and wide views. Parks Canada lists 10 km return to the cirque, 4 to 6 hours with 548 m of gain, and warns the rocks can be slippery when descending; the summit beyond is an unmarked route and is not part of this hike.
