Trail description

East Coast Trail path from Blackhead climbing past a decoy fort to views of Cape Spear, the easternmost point in North America with its historic lighthouse and Second World War battery, then continuing along the coast past a boardwalked bog and two river crossings to Maddox Cove. The East Coast Trail Association rates it moderate: 15.4 km, 5 to 7 hours.
