Auriol Trail, Haines Junction

Trail description

Loop in Kluane National Park and Reserve starting 7 km south of Haines Junction on the Haines Road, climbing through mixed boreal forest to a sub-alpine bench in front of the Auriol Range, with views back over Haines Junction and the Ruby Range. Parks Canada lists it as a moderate 15 km loop of 4 to 6 hours with 400 m of gain and several creek footbridges; overnight stays at the primitive campsite need a wilderness permit and bear-resistant food canisters.
