Trail description
A 3.2 km loop with about 285 m of climbing from the Highwood road in Peter Lougheed Provincial Park up the Arethusa Cirque route into the cirque below Little Arethusa and Mount Arethusa, topping out at about 2,440 m. Peter Lougheed Provincial Park covers 304 km² around the Kananaskis Lakes, about 90 km west of Calgary, and is one of Alberta's largest provincial parks. It was renamed after Peter Lougheed, premier of Alberta from 1971 to 1985, when he retired in 1986.
