Trail description

A two-day climb from the village of Chuprene through beech forest past the Gorski Rai hut to Midzhur (2169 m), the highest summit of the Western Balkan, on the border with Serbia. The night is usually spent at the Gorski Rai hut halfway, and the second day climbs over open grass to the top. The whole way gains about 1,950 m.
