Belintash Rock Sanctuary

Trail description

Belintash is a rock plateau about 300 m long at 1,225 m, thought to be a Thracian sanctuary, with around 300 carved round holes, steps and niches. From the Vrata road near Mostovo a signed dirt road leads to the trailhead, where the path climbs to the top in about 20 minutes. Fires are banned, and the exposed plateau has seen a fatal fall and lightning strikes, so avoid it in storms.
