In the Kalunga community of Cavalcante, within Chapada dos Veadeiros, Cachoeira Santa Barbara is famous for its surreal turquoise water. The short trail crosses the cerrado to reach the pool nestled between rock walls. It is considered one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Brazil. A visit requires a local Kalunga community guide and an entrance fee: arrange this before going.
