In Ilhabela, this crossing connects the west side of the island to Baia dos Castelhanos on the open ocean. The trail traverses the Serra do Mar through dense Atlantic Forest and steep sections. At the end, a wide, wild beach emerges, surrounded by hills and waterfalls.
