Skakavac Vodopad

Trail description

A walk through the spruce, fir and beech forest of the Skakavac nature monument above Sarajevo to the Skakavac waterfall, which drops 98 metres over a limestone wall and is one of the tallest falls in the Balkans. The marked forest path follows the Skakavac stream past the ruins of the old mountain hut to the viewpoint at the head of the fall. From there a steeper path leads down to the foot of the falls.
