Djevojačka Pećina

Trail description

A short walk from the village of Brateljevići near Kladanj to the Djevojačka pećina, the Maidens Cave, one of the most important pilgrimage sites in Bosnia. A gravel road climbs above the Bukovica stream to a flight of stone steps that lead to the cave mouth. Inside the large cave lie the grave that gives it its name and ancient engravings on the entrance walls.
