Warche Höhenweg

Trail description

This 11.2 km loop (126 m of climb) follows most of the Warche Höhenweg, a route of just under 13 km around Elsenborn whose official start is walking node 62 at the village church. It runs along the watershed between the Rur and the Warche, partly beside the military training area, where rare spignel meadows flower white in summer and most of Belgium's whinchats live. About a third is on gravel and forest tracks.
