Trail description

A 4.9 km climb of about 920 m from the Katzensteinfenster car park on Lake Traunsee up the Mairalmsteig to the Traunstein at 1,691 m, the landmark mountain of the Salzkammergut. The path is steep and rocky with secured sections; not for those with a fear of heights. Two huts stand on the summit plateau.
