Trail description

A two-day out-and-back walk of 38.3 km with about 900 m of climbing from Scharnitz up the long Hinterautal past the source of the Isar to the Hallerangerhaus at 1,768 m in the Karwendel. The night is spent at the Hallerangerhaus (book ahead), below the walls of the Lafatscher. Most of the route follows a broad valley track.
