Trail description
A 2.1 km walk with about 105 m of climbing from Dürnvellach through the Groppensteinschlucht past the Raufenfall to the Groppensteinfall, below Groppenstein castle. The gorge is a section of the Mallnitzbach in the lower Mallnitz valley in Obervellach, Carinthia. It was formed where the glaciers of the Möll and Mallnitz valleys cut to different depths, leaving the Mallnitz valley hanging about 500 m higher.
