Gletscherweg Pasterze: Kaiser-Franz-Josefs-Höhe to the Glocknerhaus

Trail description

A 5.6 km walk on the Pasterze glacier trail from the Kaiser-Franz-Josefs-Höhe down past the Sandersee and the Margaritze reservoir to the Glocknerhaus, with the Grossglockner and the shrinking Pasterze tongue in view. The path drops about 370 m from the viewing terrace to the lowest point, then climbs back up to the Glocknerhaus. The start is reached on the Grossglockner High Alpine Road, which charges a toll.
