A 5.8 km climb with about 1,030 m of ascent from the car park at Mittelberg at the head of the Pitztal up the Jägersteig to the Braunschweiger Hütte at 2,759 m. Parts of the path are graded as demanding mountain hiking, so sure footing is needed.
