Trail description

A 14.5 km high stage of the Berliner Höhenweg from the Gamshütte to the Friesenberghaus at 2,498 m, with about 1,200 m of climbing. The long traverse above the Tuxer valley side has steep, rocky sections that need sure footing. At this altitude snow can lie into early summer and the weather can turn quickly.
