N'Dhala Gorge Walk

Trail description

This 0.8 km walk with about 38 m of climbing follows a marked track from the N'Dhala Gorge car park into the gorge, an important Eastern Arrernte site with over 5,900 petroglyphs, some possibly 10,000 years old. Signs interpret the engravings and the rare sickle leaf wattle. The park is reached by 11 km of 4WD track that crosses the Ross River, and a parks pass applies.
