Trail description

From the Josephine Falls car park in Wooroonooran National Park the Bartle Frere Trail climbs almost 1,500 m through rainforest and over granite boulders to the South Peak of Mount Bartle Frere (1,622 m), the highest mountain in Queensland. Most walkers take two days with a night at the Big Rock camp, which needs a camping permit; cloud and rain are common on the top.
