Donaghys Hill Wilderness Walk

Trail description

This short walk leaves the Lyell Highway between the Franklin and Collingwood rivers and climbs gradually through forest and scrub to a lookout perched on rocky Donaghys Hill. In clear weather the lookout gives views down into the Franklin River valley and out to Frenchmans Cap and its neighbouring peaks. Parks and Wildlife Service rate it Grade 2, 2.2 km return, with unprotected track edges; a parks pass is required.
