Trail description
This 1.7 km loop with about 38 m of climbing starts beside the Katherine River near the Nitmiluk Centre and climbs a short, steep track with stairs and uneven ground onto the escarpment to Baruwei Lookout. NT Parks grades it Grade 3, moderate, with views over Nitmiluk Gorge, the Katherine River and 17 Mile Valley. The plateau can be extremely hot from September to December, so walk early.
