Trail description
This 3.1 km loop starts at the Arkaroo Rock car park, 17 km south of Wilpena on the Hawker to Blinman Road, and climbs 121 m to Akurra Adnya (Arkaroo Rock), a rock shelter whose Adnyamathanha paintings in ochre and charcoal tell the creation story of Ikara (Wilpena Pound). Parks SA rates it a moderate hike; the paintings are best seen in morning light, and the Chace Range views are best at sunset.
