Hagvi to Amoj

Trail description

Stage 8 of the Armenian National Trail links the Lori villages of Hagvi and Amoj in 5.4 km. From the church and spring in Hagvi a dirt road climbs gently for about 1.5 km to pastures, then the trail crosses meadows and a stream and climbs through woods. It reaches a hill with the ruins of a medieval fortress and church, with views over the whole Debed canyon, before descending to Amoj.
