Gnishik to Noravank

Trail description

An 11.7 km route from the remote village of Gnishik down through the Gnishik Canyon to Noravank Monastery, about 5 hours. It mixes ancient footpaths with newly built Transcaucasian Trail and passes cliffs with caves cut into the canyon walls. The canyon is part of the Arpa Protected Landscape, home to bezoar goats, and bears are known to use the trail.
