Antarut to Amberd

Trail description

A 7.1 km climb on the slopes of Mt Aragats from Antarut village through forest and river valleys to Amberd, the 10th century fortress in the clouds at about 2,300 m. At the top, explore the fortress complex and the Vahramashen church, also called the Church of Amberd. Allow about 3 hours.
