Las Maquinitas Copahue

Trail description

A 1.5 km walk with about 25 m of climbing from Copahue village out to Las Maquinitas, natural hot springs with fumaroles, steam vents and small thermal pools. A wooden boardwalk crosses the site among the pools and vents; the name comes from the sound of the boiling vents, like an old steam engine. There is no medical help or supervision on site, so keep to the boardwalk to avoid burns.
