Cerro San Bernardo

Trail description

A 2.4 km climb of about 275 m from the edge of central Salta past the Güemes monument and up the stone stairs of Cerro San Bernardo to the summit viewpoint beside the cable car station. The hill rises about 1 km east of the Plaza 9 de Julio, and its top, at about 1,470 m, stands some 285 m above the city. With Cerro 20 de Febrero it was declared a municipal nature reserve in 1991.
