Trail description

A classic village to village walk in Kelmend, climbing from the broad Vermosh valley over high pastures and down into Lëpushë. Recorded tracks give about 9 km with some 800 m of ascent, around 3 to 3.5 hours. The route passes beech forest, springs and summer sheep pastures with wide views over the Kelmend mountains, and it is not technically difficult. Walk it from June to October; both villages have guesthouses and lie on the paved Kelmend road from Shkodër via Koplik and Tamarë.
