Trail of Colors from Shishtavec to Caje

Trail description

The Trail of Colors crosses the high pastures of Korab-Koritnik Park from Shishtavec toward the village of Cajë, part of the longer High Scardus Trail. The route, about 13 km by the sources and closer to 17 km on the mapped paths, runs over some of the largest alpine meadows in the region, with wildflowers, including the endemic Albanian lily, in late spring and early summer. The ground is easy underfoot but long and exposed, and sources recommend a local guide. Shishtavec is about 27 km from Kukës by road, with a morning bus.
