Trail description

A long, remote crossing from Theth east over the mountains and the high pastures of Qerec to Curraj i Epërm, a stone hamlet in the Nikaj-Mërtur valley that is reachable only on foot. Hikers report about 20 km with more than 1,600 m of climbing, 9 to 10 hours, so start at dawn. The ascent is well marked, but the descent to Curraj has overgrown sections, and water is scarce after Qerec, so fill up there. Walk it between late June and September; Theth is reached by furgon from Shkodër, and from Curraj a path leads down to the road end at Lekbibaj.
