Mount Tomorr South Summit from Kulmak

Trail description

This climb leads from the Kulmak tekke to the southern summit of Mount Tomorr, the holy mountain of the Bektashi order above Berat. On the way you pass the rock revered as Abaz Ali's footprint, and the top holds his white mausoleum with views over much of central and southern Albania. The ascent is about 6 km with some 800 m of gain, roughly 5 hours return, and technically easy. Reach the tekke by car from Berat via the Poliçan road and the paved road to Kulmak. Go in summer or early autumn, or join the pilgrims in late August.
