Trail description

Shpirag is the striped limestone mountain facing Tomorr across Berat, known for the giant stone letters on its slope that once spelled ENVER and were rearranged in 2012 to read NEVER. The easiest route starts in the village of Sinjë, passes the Church of Saint Mary after about 15 minutes and climbs to the 1,198 m summit, taking 2 to 3 hours with stops. The top looks over Berat, Tomorr and, on clear days, mountains toward the Greek border. Spring and autumn are the most comfortable seasons, and Sinjë is about 50 minutes by minibus from Berat.
