Trail description

Mali i Thatë, the Dry Mountain, is the ridge between Lake Ohrid and Lake Prespa, and its highest point, Pllaja e Pusit (2,287 m), looks over three lakes at once. The route starts in Alarup, about 30 minutes by car from Pogradec, and climbs past a spring at about 1,500 m and a lone tree at 2,000 m before open pasture leads to the summit. Expect 12 to 14 km return with about 1,250 m of climbing, usually 7 to 8 hours. Spring and autumn are best; the path is not always easy to follow and sources suggest a guide.
