Trail description

From the Kelmend village of Lëpushë, this hike climbs through meadows and a short stretch of forest, past a small waterfall, to Maja e Vajushës (2,057 m) on the Montenegrin border. Sources describe a 9 km circuit with 700 to 900 m of ascent taking 4 to 4.5 hours, technically easy but with patchy waymarks. The ridge follows the line between green slate hills and grey karst and looks south over the Accursed Mountains. Summer is the best time. Lëpushë is on the paved road from Shkodër via Hani i Hotit and Tamarë.
