Maja e Shebenikut from Dragostunje

Trail description

This is the long day to the summit of Shebenik (about 2,260 m) in Shebenik-Jabllanicë National Park. From the mosque at Dragostunjë the route follows forest tracks and little-used paths through beech forest and high pasture to a ridge from which the glacial lakes of the park come into view. Expect about 28 km return with close to 1,800 m of climbing, 8 to 10 hours, and carry a GPS track, as marks only start high up. Take a taxi from Librazhd to Dragostunjë and go between June and September.
