Trail description

This trail in Prespa National Park starts in Kallamas, one of the oldest fishing villages on Great Prespa Lake, and follows the shore to the monastery of St Marina, about 3.7 km one way with little climbing. The guided loop that sources describe adds a climb to a viewpoint at about 1,100 m over the lake toward Greece and North Macedonia and passes hermit churches built into the rock in the 14th and 15th centuries; that full loop is about 11.5 km and takes 6 to 7 hours, with rocky sections. Pelicans are often seen on the lake. Walk it from late March to early November.
