Guri i Cjapit from Drenova

Trail description

From the edge of the Drenova fir forest just outside Korçë, paths climb through the national park to Guri i Cjapit, the Billy-Goat Stone, a huge sandstone rock about 30 m long that looks like a resting camel and is protected as a nature monument. The guided route passes the church of St Peter and St Paul and the Bear Spring; the round trip is about 12 km with some 500 m of ascent, around 6 hours at an easy pace. Starting in Drenovë village itself, the mapped path is about 9 km one way. Drenovë is a 10 minute drive from Korçë, and the walk works from late spring to autumn.
