Borsh to Lukovë Coastal Path

Trail description

This stage of the Albanian Coastal Trail links Borsh with Lukovë through olive terraces and the hillside villages of Piqeras and Bunec. On the way you pass old stone houses, stretches of cobbled mule path and the monastery of St Mary of Kremesova, and near the end a waterfall and a 15th-century church in Lukovë's old quarter. It is about 15 to 18 km with 500 m of climbing, around 5 to 6 hours, with a few rocky, steep sections. Spring and autumn avoid the summer heat, and carry plenty of water. Borsh and Lukovë are both on the coast road served by Sarandë to Himarë buses.
