Berat Castle Walk

Trail description

A short climb from the Mangalem quarter up the cobbled Rruga Mihal Komena to the main gate of Berat Castle on its north side, then into the inhabited castle quarter. Byzantine churches and Ottoman-era houses fill the walls on a rocky hill above the Osum river, part of the UNESCO-listed historic centre of Berat. The Onufri Museum inside the walls charges an entry fee.
