Mountain Description
Artesonraju is a 6,025-metre snow-and-ice pyramid in the Cordillera Blanca of Peru, within Huascaran National Park. Its near-perfect symmetrical summit is widely believed to have inspired the Paramount Pictures logo. It is a serious mountaineering objective reached from the village of Cashapampa, while trekkers admire it from the Santa Cruz and Alpamayo circuits. The dry climbing season runs from May to September.
