Trail description
A two-day trek from Ho Thau village in Lai Chau through cardamom forest, waterfalls and rhododendron woods to the 3,049 m summit of Pu Ta Leng, Vietnam's second highest mountain. The path is steep, muddy and rooty, and walkers camp at about 2,800 m below the top. Go with a local guide, as almost everyone does.
