Trail description

Roraima is a tepui of about 2,800 m in Canaima National Park, reached from Paraitepuy via camps on the Tek and Kukenán rivers and at base camp, then a steep climb up the ramp through forest and waterfalls to the summit plateau, where trekkers sleep in rock shelters called hotels. A guide and an Inparques permit, registered at Paraitepuy, are mandatory, and most trips take about six days. Rivers can rise enough to force a wait, it rains almost daily on top, and taking crystals is illegal.
