Trail description
Pico El Púlpito, 3,942 m, is the highest point of Táchira state, in the lagoon-dotted Páramo El Batallón of Parque Nacional General Juan Pablo Peñaloza. This line climbs from the Río Bobo side in the south to the summit cross; a sign above Laguna La Piedra reading Pico El Púlpito does not mark the true summit. No technical gear is needed, but sources describe steep slopes, ravines, rough rocky crests and dense fog that makes cairns hard to follow.
