Laguna Coromoto desde La Mucuy

Trail description

An 18 km out-and-back of about 1,470 m from the La Mucuy ranger station in the Sierra Nevada National Park up through cloud forest and páramo to Laguna Coromoto (3,200 m), a glacial lake below Pico Humboldt. Most walkers camp at the lake and go on to the Humboldt glacier the next day; register with Inparques at La Mucuy before setting out, as the park only allows entry with a permit.
