North Vate Summit, Nguna

Trail description

A climb from the village road above Taloa, Nguna's largest village, through gardens and rainforest to the crater rim of the island's extinct volcano at about 593 m. The tourism office describes a steady uphill walk with some steep parts and views over the Shepherd Islands and Efate, and the hike up and back takes about three and a half hours. The tracks are not marked, so a local guide is needed.
