Rio Seco Waterfall (Salybia)

Trail description

This short trail in Matura National Park starts at the end of Matura Trace, inland from Salybia on the Toco Main Road, where the Forestry Division has put up a map sign. The muddy path crosses small streams, has steep sections and fallen trees, and takes about 35 to 40 minutes to the waterfall and its deep green plunge pool. Rocks around the pool are slippery, the water turns murky after heavy rain, and cars at the trailhead clearing have been broken into.
