Trail description

A 1.6 km walk down the Empakaai Crater Trail from the crater rim to the shore of its lake, in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The crater is 6 km wide and its deep soda lake fills about three quarters of the floor; from the rim there are views of Ol Doinyo Lengai, Kilimanjaro and the Great Rift Valley.
