Timur Dara Lake from Hakimi

Trail description

A hike from Hakimi village at the end of the Karatag valley road up the left bank of the Karatag River and a steep climb onto a plateau of juniper forest to Timur Dara, a glacial lake at about 1970 m in Shirkent National Park. Tour operators give about 3.5 km one way and 370 m of ascent from the trailhead above the village, with one steep, eroded section. It is a popular day trip from Dushanbe, about 75 km away.
