Songluo Lake (松蘿湖)

Trail description

A 10.1 km out and back walk with about 650 m of climbing from the trailhead above Yulan in Yilan up through moss forest to Songluo Lake at about 1,290 m, a quiet mountain lake ringed by mist and old trees and called the Lake of the Eternal Mist. The path is muddy, rooty and has river crossings, and many walkers camp a night at the lake. A mountain entry permit from the police is required.
