Hehuanshan West Peak (合歡山西峰)

Trail description

A 7.2 km walk with about 670 m of climbing from Xiaofengkou over Hehuanshan North Peak at 3,422 m and along the bamboo grass ridge to the remote West Peak at 3,144 m. Most walkers return the same way, so allow a long day for 14 km above 2,900 m. The route stays above 3,000 m for hours: watch for altitude sickness and the fast-changing weather.
